A 4-star Thanks to the famous British magazine « Restaurant », we have discovered this brilliant Chef, Pierre Gagnaire, and his magnificent gourmet restaurant Champs Elysees. We had never been to such a wonderful place before and it is definitely the best restaurant in Paris. Everything is different with Pierre Gagnaire, who is truly a magician in the art of cooking. You'll never be the same, once you've enjoyed a dinner near the Champs Elysees at Pierre Gagnaire's gourmet restaurant. Not only are the courses delicious but they are also totally uncommon and we were astonished by the creativity of Pierre Gagnaire. Olive oil, cherries, almonds, Porto and Champaign are to be found in courses where you don't expect the Chef would use them and it is, indeed, a perfect match ! We tried the "Menu Degustation" which was sumptuous and allowed us to discover Pierre Gagnaire's fantasy and talent. It would be too long to describe the whole menu as Pierre Gagnaire likes to mix many different flavours, fishes and meats but. our mullet was absolutely to die for, the fish terrine was perfect and the cheeses served with sugary flavours where totally new for us. As for the desserts of this gourmet restaurant, they were certainly made in heaven !! Everything is not only absolutely delicious but Pierre Gagnaire is also particularly gifted with colours and each course is a pleasure for the eyes. Eating near the Champs Elysees at Pierre Gagnaire's was like having a dream and feeling that you never want it to stop. Of course, perfection may cost a little bit more than anywhere else and the "Menu Degustation" will cost you 300 euros per person. This gourmet restaurant offers you a dreamlike dinner or lunch near the Champs Elysees and you won't regret the money it cost you! Paris best restaurant ! If you wish to try other gourmet restaurants, go to the Meurice or the Bristol where you will also enjoy a very tasty experience.
