Located on the very chic avenue Montaigne, this gourmet restaurant is at the same time very trendy and elegant, stylish and modern. You quickly understand that luxury is the perfect way to describe the restaurant and the guests are mainly wealthy tourists or Parisians, making a break from their shopping in the very expensive shops of the neighbourhood near the avenue Montaigne.
The Alain Ducasse Plaza Athénée restaurant is the place to come to see and be seen and to enjoy some magnificent caviar, lobster and other very refined courses which are brilliantly cooked by Christophe Moret, Chef of this gourmet restaurant avenue Montaigne. We feel that Alain Ducasse has taught him a lot and the "Légumes et fruits cuits/crus, marmelade tomato/truffe" (raw/cooked vegetables and fruits with tomato/truffle marmalade) is exquisite.
The desserts are also absolutely divine with many fruit combinations in spring and summer. Everything is perfect, very chic and at the same time uncommon. This gourmet restaurant avenue Montaigne can surprise you, which is not always the case of haute cuisine restaurants in Paris.
Be careful not to come between mid July and mid August; mid December until 31 st December when the restaurant is closed. Otherwise, there is always more magic at night than at lunch time, when it tends to be busier.
